CAD/CAM and Programming
Our manufacturing process starts with our experienced programmers converting our customers’ 3D STEP models, 2D DXF files, or PDFs with Solidworks and the latest CAD/CAM and CNC programming software. Our programming department develops the code to create efficient part nesting and precision parts on our CNC equipment.
Laser Cutting
Our state-of-the-art Trumpf TruLaser 3030 fiber laser ensures precision, speed, and quality for all your manufacturing needs. We cut from steel, stainless steel, galvanneal, aluminum, copper, brass, and titanium. Operated by our highly trained operators, we can quickly and efficiently produce high-volume orders or single prototype parts.
Punching
Our Trumpf TruPunch 2020 is the workhouse at Shamong Manufacturing. It can quickly and efficiently cut blanks, perforations, louvers, embossments, and other features. With our stock and custom tooling, we can produce the sheet metal parts needed for your project.
Bending
At Shamong Manufacturing, precision bending is at the heart of our comprehensive manufacturing services. Our expertise in bending enables us to create complex shapes and angles tailored to your needs. Our press brakes range from 20 tons to 135 tons of bending pressure allowing us to produce parts from 120” long for large machinery to 1” brackets for electronic components. With state-of the-art equipment and skilled craftsmen, we tackle intricate bending projects with unmatched accuracy and efficiency.
Welding
Utilizing the TIG and spot resistance welders, Shamong Manufacturing produces quality welding that turns sheet metal components into housings, enclosures, and assemblies. Whether it’s stainless steel, aluminum, or other materials, our experienced welders excel in creating strong, clean, and aesthetically pleasing welds that exceed industry standards.
Hardware Insertion
Shamong Manufacturing utilizes PEM insertion machines streamlining precision integration of hardware components into your products. Our automatic feeders can efficiently install hardware whether a component has 5 or 500 fasteners, and we stock hardware and inserts in every size ensuring a fast turn round of parts for delivery.
Finishing
Our finishing department completes our parts with corrosion-resistant and aesthetically pleasing finishes. We can provide smooth and textured painted parts with a variety of enamels, alkyds, and urethanes in stock and custom colors. Our chemical finishing department can provide MIL-DTL-5541 Type 1 and 2 conversion coatings and iridite for superior protection of parts. Additionally, we can have parts powder-coated, passivated, plated anodized, and silkscreened with custom artwork.
Fabrication & Mechanical Assembly
Whether welded or mechanically assembled, Shamong Manufacturing can combine your ordered parts into assemblies and sub-assemblies to free up our customers’ in-house production capacity and staff. Assemblies arrive completed to the customers’ specifications, ready for the next stages of their production.
Prototype to Production
Shamong Manufacturing can create precision components in any quantity. With our use of the latest programming software, we can minimize set-up times to effectively produce 1 part, 1000 parts, or monthly production runs of the same parts. We offer the flexibility of a job shop with the efficiency of batch manufacturing to service a wide array of customers’ production needs.
Expedited Production to Just-in-Time Delivery
Shamong Manufacturing’s production model allows us to quickly produce parts to meet our customers’ needs. We can supply parts to meet your production schedule; whether expedited in a few days or standing 1000-piece production run on the first of every month. Our warehouse and inventory control system allows us to provide Just-In-Time delivery of stocked parts to minimize our customer’s inventory.
